Meet the Coalition

The More PETs Coalition is a group of organizations and individuals, including doctors, patients, disease-focused charities, and radiopharmaceutical providers, who share the goal of ensuring that PET scans are used to their full potential in the Ontario healthcare system.

The Coalition wants to raise awareness among doctors and patients of this best-in-class technology and its availability in the province, so that all Ontarians can receive the highest standard of medical care. 

This Coalition is funded by Isologic, Canada’s leading supplier of radiopharmaceutical unit doses.  

  • The Canadian Association of Nuclear Medicine

    The Canadian Association of Nuclear Medicine strives for excellence in the practice of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine by promoting the continued professional competence of nuclear medicine specialists, establishing guidelines of clinical practice, and encouraging biomedical research. CANM works with all professionals in nuclear medicine to ensure that Canadians have access to the highest quality nuclear medicine services.

    Canadian Cancer Survivor Network

    Canadian Cancer Survivor Network is a a national network of patients, families, survivors, friends, community partners and sponsors. CCSN’s mission is to work together by taking action to promote the very best standard of care, support, follow-up and quality of life for patients and survivors.

    CCSN aims to educate the public and policy makers about cancer and encourage research on ways to alleviate barriers to optimal cancer care in Canada.

  • The Carcinoid-NeuroEndocrine Tumour Society (CNETS)

    CNETS was formed in 2007 to assist the Canadian community, primarily patients, with this type of disease. CNETS provides workshops and seminars, establishes support groups and services, educated the public and healthcare professionals on carcinoid and related neuroendocrine tumours.

  • Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer

    OPACC was founded in 1995 with a mission to support families of children diagnosed with cancer in Ontario, Canada.

    OPACC offers various free support programs and services, including peer-to-peer in-hospital and virtual support through a Parent Liaison program, financial support including helping to pay for hospital parking and distributing grocery gift cards and hospital meal vouchers, community-based parent support groups, and much more.

  • Telix Pharmaceuticals
